Several Tri-County Workforce Investment Board (TCWIB), PA CareerLink, and Career TRACK Staff attended the Western PA CareerLink Symposium held in Cranberry Township on September 28-29. The topic of the symposium was “Connecting with Industry Partnerships”. Peggy Weckerly, PA CareerLink Butler County Administrator, Paul Weifenbaugh, TCWIB Youth Program Coordinator, and Vickie DeThomas, TCWIB board member and Tri-County Manufacturing Consortium representative served on various presentation panels throughout the symposium. Specific sessions included Evolution of Industry Partnerships, Serving the Dislocated Workers, Industry Partnerships and Low-skill, Low-wage and TANF customers, Connections between Business Services and Industry Partnerships, Industry Partnerships and Pipeline Strategies, and Industry Partnership Employers.
